Paul Cooke's mid-season Hull FC report card featuring stars, disappointments and hopes

They're just over 50 per cent and that's just about right over the course of the season. They're probably at a C, they're there or thereabouts, but beating Wigan is a big win and a big plus for me. The Warriors came full strength and they were convincing without putting the game to bed early enough, but it was a very good performance. I saw glimpses of what they're capable of being and if they can produce that regularly, they're going to be a difficult team to beat

I don't think so, I expect them collectively and individually to be inconsistent and in truth, that's been the case though nothing like we've seen in the past. When they get into games, like the Wigan game, they're capable of beating any team. The worry is that I always feel I'm inclined to say that when they're in a good run of form, they could get beat next week by a Wakefield or a Salford. They could come unstuck if that emerges.

I think they're battling for fifth and sixth. You would have hoped at the start of the year that Huddersfield, FC, KR, Castleford and Leeds would be battling for fifth and sixth, but they've got three games on Warrington and it's hard over half a season to make that up again, so that has thrown the top four open a little bit.

I don't think you can look past Jake Connor because of his assists and the danger he is. If you look at the Salford and Leeds wins, he's won them on his own.

But Joe Lovodua has been very good, Jack Brown and Brad Fash have been consistent, Chris Satae has been decent and Ligi Sao has found some form. I expect them to kick on at the end of the season.

The halves and I think they know that. I read every week from Brett Hodgson he wants more and that would be the area of concern. If they do play well, Hull FC
