Patson Daka splitting Leicester City fans after 'non-existent' Newcastle display

Leicester City supporters are split over Patson Daka's future as the summer signing's first season in the East Midlands approaches its end.

The Zambia international has started the last two Premier League matches against Crystal Palace as well as Sunday's trip to Newcastle United. Daka has not netted in the league, though, since scoring the opener against Brighton and Hove Albion back in January.

Kelechi Iheanacho replaced the 23-year-old for the final 13 minutes plus added time while the scores were still level. Here is a selection of social media reaction evaluating Daka's performance against Newcastle and the striker's form generally.

Daka will come good. We just need to be patient with him and I’m willing too. I think he’s done okay. He’s come from a nothing league. He’s young and raw and I think he’ll be a massive hit for us.

I was sold a lie with Daka. Maybe he just needs time but still…

Daka, pretty nonexistent.

Daka hasn’t covered himself in much glory this season but then Rodgers hasn’t used him in a two enough and when he has, he’s played well. Daka played most of his football at Salzburg in a front two.

Daka needs to learn from this season as well, needs to do a helluva lot more if he wants to make it at the top level.

He’ll come good eventually. He’s had a year now with the team so hopefully, he’ll have a good pre-season and push on.

Daka wasting another chance to make an impression. Works hard but very little quality.

I’m really starting to worry about Daka. Can’t remember the last time he was good.

Daka wasn’t the best today, but what the hell is a striker supported to do with absolutely zero service.
