Paedophile magician branded 'disgrace of a human being' by victims

A 'serial' paedophile who abused children for almost 25 years has been branded a 'disgrace of a human being' by his victims.

Paul McKee subjected several young girls to a catalogue of harrowing abuse over the course of more than two decades. He styled himself as 'Professor Paulos' while working as a children's entertainer to the stars, having performed for soap actors and at private parties for legendary Liverpool FC footballers.

He lured children into his 'Neverland Ranch-style' home by keeping monkeys, meerkats and a pig. He was working in a school when he was arrested in Thailand following decades of abuse on his victims.

The 57-year-old - of no fixed address but formerly of Wallasey Village, Wirral - had to be extradited back to the UK in order to face justice, with his activities in Asia being described as 'suspicious at the very least'. McKee is now facing the prospect of spending the rest of his life behind bars after being locked up for 30 years at Liverpool Crown Court this week.

Statements from all seven of his victims were read out to the court during his sentencing on Monday, the Liverpool Echo reports. One addressed her abuser personally from the witness box, saying that she had 'kept all the painful memories locked away in her head' and that 'that box has been painful to open'.

She added: "He has caused me years of pain and refused to accept it. The pain Paul McKee inflicted has been a part of me for many, many years."

Another told the court "Paul McKee is a disgrace of a human being", while a further statement said: "The abuse I suffered as a child had an immense impact on my whole life. My childhood was taken away from
