Jeremy Clarkson branded 'legend' as he issues annual A Level results brag

Jeremy Clarkson was branded a 'legend' for tweeting out his annual 'humblebrag' as students collect their A-level results today.

Every year, the TV presenter tells social media that he didn't do great in his A-levels - but he has still gone on to have success. This year, the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host shared: "It’s not the end of the world if your A level results aren’t what you’d hoped for. I got a C and 2 Us and here I am today with my own brewery."

He then clapped back at a Twitter user, who responded with: "Brewery which sells exploding ale," with a laughing face emoji. It comes two months after the TV star warned fans some of his Hawkstone cider bottles might explode following a 'cock up.'

Replying to the comment, Clarkson said: "The beer, mercifully, is fine. I’m having some now, with my breakfast in the south of France."

Social media users were glad that Clarkson kept up his traditional A Level results day tweet. @iamtomskinner praised: "I love the annual tweet. Jeremy Clarkson you are a legend. Bosh" as @DavidMackayy agreed: "Every single year I wait for this tweet and every single year I’m not disappointed".

@ElunedAnderson said: "We have been blessed yet again" while @rachellord22 wrote: "Happy Jeremy Clarkson A Level results day tweet to all who celebrate" and @PodcastJourno added: "It comes around quicker every year!"

Clarkson's tweeting on A-level results day began in 2015, when he posted: "If your A-level results aren't great, be cheered by the fact that I got a C and two Us. And I'm currently sitting in a villa in St Tropez." Continuing the theme, in 2016, he tweeted: "If your A level
