Opening date announced for huge new play park coming to MediaCity
The opening date has been announced for a massive new trampoline play park coming to MediaCity. Oxygen Activeplay is taking over the former I'm a Celebrity Jungle Challenge site inside Quayside, formerly Lowry Outlet, at Salford Quays.
And it's good news for families as it will be launching on Monday, February 17, which for many kids is the first day of half term. The state-of-the-art venue will feature 24 trampolines, a mega-air bag jump, a high ropes course, a Sky Rider aerial ride, an interactive strike arena and more.
There’s even a dedicated Toddler Zone, so little jumpers can have just as much fun on their own trampettes. High above the park, the high ropes course will have fearless families navigating their way across six challenging crossings, while the Sky Rider will 'give thrill seekers a sky-high feeling, as they soar through the air on a harness'.
The attraction will sit above the bustling Kargo MKT food hall and will be Oxygen Activeplay’s 10th indoor activity park to open across England.
Oxygen will hold daily sessions, specifically designed to support toddlers’ (under 5s) development as well as regular Peaceful Play sessions for those with sensory needs or learning difficulties.
On the first Friday of every month, it will host a Neon Night party, where the lights are turned down low, the music is pumped up and the disco neon lights are on full blast. The evenings will be filled with jumping, games, dancing and competitions from 6pm until 8pm.
The park will also be home to a café, serving drinks, snacks, and meals. This will overlook the activities so parents can keep a watchful eye over their kids. It will also host parties for kids of all ages, with a variety of packages available.
