'Ooooof', 'Walks into our team' - Many Everton fans buzz over link to ex-Lampard 'powerhouse'

Many Everton fans have been left buzzing over some transfer news that has emerged on Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

As per The Daily Mail, the Goodison Park faithful have now registered an interest in signing the Chelsea midfield player before the January transfer window shuts, after injuries to both Abdoulaye Doucoure and Fabian Delph.

Of course, he is a player that incoming manager Frank Lampard knows well, having played under him ten times over the course of two seasons at Stamford Bridge.

Loftus-Cheek would certainly offer the Merseyside club more dynamism in the middle of the park, as he averages more dribbles, aerial duels won and a better pass completion than regulars Doucoure, Allan and Andre Gomes (WhoScored), and at 26 years of age, still has not quite hit his full potential.

These Toffees buzzed as the transfer news was shared on Twitter, with one Blues supporter even going as far as to claim that he is a ‘powerhouse’:
