One winner and one loser at West Brom if club seal deal for 30-year-old

West Bromwich Albion will be keen to push on under the guidance of Steve Bruce in the coming months after opting to draft in the former Newcastle United boss as a replacement for Valerien Ismael.

Although the Baggies are no longer able to purchase players or bring in individuals on loan, they can still look towards the free-agent market for inspiration.

One of the players who has recently emerged as a potential target for West Brom is Jack Wilshere who has been without a club since leaving AFC Bournemouth last year.

When you consider that Wilshere completed 88.2% of his passes in the Championship last season, he could potentially forge a fruitful relationship with Carroll by setting up chances for the 33-year-old.

With Daryl Dike expected to be out of action until after the March international break, Carroll may go on to feature regularly in the coming weeks alongside Wilshere if the midfielder makes the move to West Brom.

Loser: Jayson Molumby
