West Brom's deeply concerning form runs beyond 451 painful minutes

West Brom’s shambolic form continued at Luton Town and the scale of the job on Steve Bruce’s hands was only magnified after Cameron Jerome and Allan Campbell inflicted Albion’s latest defeat.

Jerome’s header after half time and then Campbell’s measured strike in the closing stages settled the meeting, on the latest afternoon when Albion failed to score and were turned over on the road.

Quite how it was goalless at the break will forever remain a mystery. Don’t be mistaken, for large periods it was pretty drab and the quality (or lack of) on display reflected the pretty miserable conditions that the game was being played out in.

Albion’s season is rapidly falling off a cliff on this basis and, right now, mere mid-table mediocrity looks far more likely than a return to the top six any time soon.
