Oldham fire: Dozens of firefighters battle Barry Street Tile Shop blaze – latest updates
More than 50 firefighters are tackling a large fire in a commercial building on Barry Street in Oldham. The fire is thought to have broken out around 4am on Saturday morning, May 7.
Videos show the fire is at The Tile Shop, a tile and bathroom warehouse. The outbreak was reported on social media on both Facebook and Twitter.
Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue stated: "Over 50 firefighters are currently responding to a large fire at a commercial building on Barry Street, Oldham. We expect to be here into the morning so please avoid the area while crews are working. Local residents are advised to keep doors and windows closed."
