Officers searching for missing man find vehicle near reservoir

Police are continuing to search for a man from Rochdale who is missing after finding his vehicle near a reservoir. An appeal was first issued regarding Artur, whose age and surname have not been released, a week ago.

He was last seen in Ripponden, West Yorkshire, at around 4pm on Sunday (July 30). Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said they wanted to make sure he was safe and well.

In an update issued tonight (Monday, August 7), the force said Artur's vehicle has been found close to Booth Wood reservoir, which is located in-between Rochdale and Huddersfield.

However, they said their search for him is continuing. He is described as being tall, white and of slim build, with dark blond hair and some grey hair.

They say he could 'potentially' be wearing grey joggers, Nike trainers and a navy blue jacket, with dark waterproof clothing over the top.

Anyone with information about Artur's whereabouts is asked to call police on 0161 856 5050 or 101.
