NY Giants Great Lawrence Taylor Takes Time Out Of His Weekend To Attend Trump Rally In NJ

What do you think Lawrence Taylor was doing on this fine Saturday in May?

Yes, I’m talking about that Lawrence Taylor, the guy who wreaked havoc in the NFL in the 1980s and 1990s as a linebacker for the New York Giants. The guy that former Giants assistant coach Bill Belichick thinks is one of the best players to play the game.

Taylor is 65 years young, so you might guess that he was on a golf course or a beach. But not today.

Instead, Taylor chose to spend part of his weekend at a rally for presidential candidate Donald Trump in Wildwood, NJ.

Assemblyman Paul Kanitra from New Jersey’s 10th legislative district confirmed on X that the Hall of Famer was indeed at the rally.

Taylor was one of just 40,000 expected to support Trump at the latest stop on his campaign trail. He is one of several former or current NFL players who have voiced support for the 45th president of the United States over the past several years.

In addition to evidently not being woke (a great characteristic to have), Taylor was one of the best players in the history of the league. Not only did he win two Super Bowls, he was named Defensive Player of the Year three times (1981, 1982, 1986) he won the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award in 1981 and was named NFL MVP in 1986 as well.
