'Nothing without us' - Man City fans react as Sterling, Grealish and Foden shine for England

Plenty of Manchester City stars were on international duty on Tuesday, but it was the Blues' trio of England attackers that shone the brightest.

The Three Lions overcame Cote D'Ivoire 3-0 in a friendly at Wembley, with Raheem Sterling, Jack Grealish and Phil Foden all playing key roles in England's three goals.

It was a special night for Sterling, who captained England for the third time in his career having grown up just a few hundred yards from the national stadium. The 27-year-old set up Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins for the opener with a sensational piece of skill, tying Serge Aurier in knots before crossing through the legs of Manchester United's Eric Bailly for Watkins to tap home.

Grealish and Sterling combined for England's second on the stroke of half-time, the former squaring across the box for the latter to score. Then in second-half injury time, Foden swung in an inviting cross that was headed home superbly by Tyrone Mings.

Not for the first time in recent years, City players were at the heart of England's success. Here's what City fans, and a few famous faces, made of it all.
