Man City fans give their verdict on rollercoaster FA Cup semi-final loss to Liverpool FC

Manchester City fans have been sharing their disappointment after a 3-2 loss to Liverpool in the semi-final of the FA Cup.

City produced a spirited comeback in the second half after being 3-0 down at half-time following an Ibrahima Konate header and a Sadio Mane brace. However, goals from Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva set up a nervy last few minutes of additional time for Jurgen Klopp's men.

Despite chances for Fernandinho, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez, City couldn’t find the leveller and bowed out at the semi-final stage of the FA Cup for a third consecutive season. It also means their dreams of a Treble are over for this season.

The first half of the game was arguably the worst 45 minutes they have played under Pep Guardiola. But the fightback has prompted an ultimately disappointed but appreciative response from City fans on Twitter.

@mcffhonest: Proud of this team. Played with bench players and players who played a big game two days ago and started the game with two goals down yet they almost came back in the game.

@LucasTheSecond : One of our worst performances of the Pep era and we only lost by one to Liverpool.

@ThomasMusyoka46: It's Easter, someone had to betray Jesus and Steffen was the Judas today.

@Weird_Jtindr: Fought a good game boys. Keep ur heads up high!

@TendzzXO: Much better in the second, we move.

@walesm: At least our boys fought back. Next season maybe, C'MON CITY!
