Nigeria handball team departs for Tunisia

Nigeria’s U18 Women Handball team

Head Coach of Nigeria’s U18 Women Handball team, Shittu Agboola, has released the final list of players that will participate at the 19th Africa Women’s Youth Nations Championship, which will hold in Monastir, Tunisia. The championship will hold from September 16 to 23.

The national U18 girls have been in camp at the Rowe Park Sports Center, Yaba, Lagos, under the tutelage of coach Shittu and his assistant, coach Opuene Roberts of Bayelsa Queens, ahead of the continental championship.

Eighteen players were invited to the camp.

After more than two weeks of camping, coach Shittu selected 15 players, with many of them picked from the team that participated and won the IHF trophy Africa Zone 3 tourney and the IHF trophy Africa Continental Phase Championship.
