Newcastle United supporters name two changes for team to face Tottenham Hotspur

Newcastle United supporters are hoping Allan Saint-Maximin and Javier Manquillo are back in the starting line-up to face Tottenham Hotspur later this afternoon. The Magpies are looking to bounce back from successive defeats against Everton and Chelsea, and reignite their survival bid.

Saint-Maximin was among those to come under fire from social media criticism in the aftermath of the Goodison Park defeat, but Newcastle supporters need no reminding how influential the French winger is to the club. The 25-year-old is expected to feature later today with the Magpies winger well aware he needs a performance.

Thanks to Newcastle's nine game unbeaten run, Eddie Howe's side are nine points clear of the bottom three but know that deficit could be cut further with the Toffees and Burnley boasting games in hand. Manquillo was among the surprise packages in that run and has played a key role replacing the injured Kieran Trippier.

Newcastle fans want to see Martin Dubravka retain his place between the sticks with Fabian Schar and Dan Burn in the heart of defence, Manquillo to replace Emil Krafth at right-back with Matt Targett on the opposite flank. The Magpies faithful are hoping to see their Brazilian duo Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes line-up in the centre of midfield alongside Joe Willock in an unchanged trio.

The Toon faithful want to see Chris Wood lead the line after his heroics for his country whilst on international duty, with Ryan Fraser and Saint-Maximin on either flank. Miguel Almiron is the second casualty up front with Newcastle supporters expecting the Paraguay international to make way for his French team mate.
