The Newcastle United star who joins Bruno Guimaraes in WhoScored Team of the Week

Matt Targett has been named in the WhoScored Team of the Week alongside star man Bruno Guimaraes. The Newcastle United midfielder scored both goals as the Magpies came from behind to earn a vital three points in the fight for survival.

Eddie Howe's side are now 12 points above the drop zone with six games left to play. Newcastle know a win against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night would all but guarantee their place in the Premier League next season.

The arrival of the five January signings has been a major turning point in the campaign with match-winner Guimaraes adding some much-needed class into the Magpies squad. The most notable improvement has been Newcastle's defence and Targett has been one of the standout performers since arriving on loan from Aston Villa.

It was more of the same from the Villa loanee against the Foxes who made four tackles, four interceptions, two clearances and was awarded a rating of 7.72.
