Newcastle United are reportedly willing to offload fan favourite Allan Saint-Maximin for around £50million this summer, along with more outgoings.
The Magpies have begun their ascent from the foot of the table of late. Indeed, they are currently 15th in the league, and nine points above the drop zone.
Many players have stepped up since Eddie Howe took charge of the club. New signings: Kieran Trippier, Bruno Guimaraes, Chris Wood and Dan Burn have all made an impact.
One star who has been proving himself in a Newcastle shirt before this season, though, is Saint-Maximin. The Frenchman has contributed to 26 goals during his time with the Magpies.
Furthermore, he has become a fan favourite in the North East. Despite the quality he has shown over the past three seasons, it appears Newcastle are willing to ship him out.
That is according to The Daily Mail, who suggest the Magpies are willing to listen to offers in the region of £50million for the forward.
Given the impact he has had at St James’ Park, it is a surprise that Newcastle would want to see the back of him.
It should not be difficult for the star to find a club who want to take him on board. The report suggests that Aston Villa are keen on Saint-Maximin.
The Frenchman is not the only player who is reportedly being put up for sale.
