Newcastle United poised to seal transfer deal for 30-year-old from the EFL

Newcastle United are closing on the signing of Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope.

As per The Telegraph, the Magpies are close to sealing a deal with the Clarets for the England international.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper will arrive at St James’ Park as competition to current Newcastle number one Martin Dubravka, whom he will hope to eclipse due to his England World Cup ambitions.

The Telegraph state that the deal to bring the shot-stopper to the north east will cost the club somewhere between £8-10 million.

As for Burnley, as their mass exodus continues following relegation, Vincent
