Newcastle supporters make the same point after Aston Villa's Castore kit announcement

Aston Villa have announced Castore as their new principal kit partner. The British sportswear company, based in Manchester, was founded in 2015 and has since gone on to manufacture kits for Newcastle United and Rangers.

In July 2021, Castore signed a deal with the Magpies and one year later and Aston Villa have now gone and secured the same deal.

Aston Villa's announcement read: "The agreement signifies Castore’s continued push into the highest level of English football, the Premier League, and is a further statement of Aston Villa’s intent to partner with premium brands who share the Club’s ambitions."

But some cynical Newcastle fans are starting to get suspicious of Aston Villa. Last week they signed Diego Carlos from Sevilla and Boubacar Kamara from Olympique de Marseille - two huge targets for Newcastle this transfer window.

"Copying #nufc again. Has Steven Gerrard changed his name to Eddie Howe yet? This is getting a bit embarrassing guys now." One fan said.

Another added: "Is there anything about Newcastle you guys don't try to copy? It's bordering on obsessive." In which a Villa fan responded "Wolves signed with Castore before you."

One fan joked: "Getting a bit embarrassing now lads, be playing in black and white next." While another wrote: "Just change your name to #nufc."

Castore have teased the imminent release of Newcastle's home kit for the 2022/2023 season. Hinting at a black and blue theme, the manufacturers took to Instagram with the caption: "COMING SOON... The @nufc 22/23 Home Kit #BetterNeverStops."
