New opening times, big ride updates and Easter lights at Blackpool's Pleasure Beach Resort 2024

Blackpool’s Pleasure Beach Resort has unveiled a number of new additions to the park ahead of Easter and the summer season, including stilt-walking tech bots, updates to rides and new opening times.

The park, home to the ‘World’s Best Water Ride’ in the form of Valhalla, re-opened for the spring on March 2 and is gearing up to open on weekdays.

Millions of pounds have been spent updating a number of the resort’s most-loved rides, including re-tracking of the Big One to ensure a smoother ride and a reimagining of the popular Ghost Train. The Alice in Wonderland ride has also received a series of updates.

As part of the resort’s Easter celebrations, running from March 30 to April 7, there's line-up of live entertainment and activities including Easter Egg Hunts, egg and spoon races, and even a visit from the Easter Bunny himself. The Easter events will kick off in style with the inaugural ‘Twilight Thrills’ event on March 30. This will give visitors the chance to explore the park in an unique after-dark setting whilst enjoying live entertainment, music and special shows. There will also be five occasions throughout the year to enjoy fireworks and late night rides at the resort - on July 6, July 27, August 3, August 24 and November 30.

Further ride updates have also been teased for throughout the rest of the season, such as updates to Wallace & Gromit’s Thrill-O-Matic and the current ‘World’s Best Water Ride’, Valhalla, as a well as a new yet-to-be-announced attraction that will
