New mum Janette Manrara says 'it's finally gone' after post-baby recovery struggle

New mum Janette Manrara has shared an update with fans on her struggle to recover from her recent C-section. Last week the Strictly dancer-turned-presenter told how she's having to take medication after encountering a problem following the birth of her first child.

Janette, 39, and Aljaz, 33, announced their daughter's arrival on Saturday (July 29) in a post to both of their social media pages. They named the newborn Lyra Rose Skorjanec and have since been settling into family life, including a visit from Janette's parents.

Last week Janette shared a video in which she said she had developed an "itchy" rash on her stomach and was in pain. Fans rushed to support her and on Thursday the star said she was finally making progress.

She told followers on Instagram: "It's been a really really nice few days with my mum and dad here, just watching them falling in love with Lyra and getting to meet her has been so special and for her to kind of get to know her grandparents. They live so far away so we're soaking in every second of their time here plus Aljaz and I are getting a little bit of rest because we're not cleaning or cooking because they're doing it all and we get a little more sleep.

"My recovery is going really really, my rash has finally gone, the rash on my stomach and I've got these amazing pants that help support C-section recovery so Momma Janette's doing good, Lyra's great. Yeah happy happy days. Just wanted to say hello and sum it up."

Janette also took to her main Instagram grid with a photo of her enjoying time in the garden with her dad and Aljaz. Her parents jetted over from Miami to meet their granddaughter and
