Coronation Street star Peter Ash looks loved up in new photos as fans beg 'don't go'

Coronation Street star Peter Ash couldn't have looked happier with his real-life partner as he enjoyed time away from his harrowing soap plot. The actor recently headed off for some downtime with his girlfriend Amy in Cornwall.

Peter, who is known for playing Paul Foreman in the ITV soap, took to Instagram earlier this month with a snap of the coastline as he declared: "Week off. Let's go!" He then shared a picture of the clear blue skies making an appearance during his stay in Newquay which prompted a reaction from his co-star.

Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Peter's on-screen partner Billy Mayhew in Corrie as they currently tackle the soap's hard-hitting Motor Neurone Disease storyline, wrote in the comments section: "Enjoy some much deserved rest my friend."

And in one of his most recent posts before heading home, Peter was seen beaming for a selfie alongside Amy, with whom he shares son Ayden, who he keeps out of the limelight. "Having a lovely week away! @amypabbyshambo #SunmerHoliday," the soap star captioned the snap before the messages came flooding in.

@mloveless29 said: "Looking happy! Hope you both have a lovely holiday." @irenemk50 commented: "Aww enjoy. Beautiful happy picture." @ritchie_john_new posted: "Beautiful smiles on both your faces."

Others, however, couldn't help but respond with messages about his soap future. There is currently no cure for MND, the fatal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord, which means Paul will tragically die leading to an exit from the long-running show for Peter.
