New-look Hull FC must stick to what works for them against Leeds Rhinos

After six weeks away from home, Hull FC finally return to the MKM Stadium this Saturday afternoon. The Black and Whites host Leeds Rhinos, with both sides coming into the game off the back of indifferent results last weekend.

For Hull, it's their attack that needs sorting out, but given how Leeds succumbed to St Helens last Thursday night, defence will be their main focus, although you can bet both sides will want to find some middle ground on both sides of the ball. Here Hull Live previews the clash.

Ahead of the 2022 season, Hull FC identified a strong home campaign as a big target for the year. So far, they've successfully managed that, turning their home ground into something of a fortress after winning six out of their seven games at the MKM so far.

In fact, and after losing to St Helens back in February, Hull have won their last six games on home turf, beating Salford, Huddersfield, Warrington, Catalans, Toulouse, and Wigan. It's a run that has seen them keep hold of a Super League play-off place and it's one that deserves its credits.

Sitting inside the top six for virtually the full season so far, Hull have showcased a variety of ways to win in those six games. They've blown teams away, but they've also been masters at the grind when needed, digging in and showing their fighting qualities to get the job done. It's both sides of the fence that will be needed here. Hull have to be able to post the points on the board, but they must show the same energy in defence.
