Former Hull City loan man Marcus Forss being chased by Championship rivals
Former Hull City loanee Marcus Forss is a transfer target for Championship rivals Middlesbrough, according to Football Insider.
Forss joined the Tigers from Brentford in January, but the Finnish striker struggled to make an impact. The forward scored one goal and grabbed one assist in 11 appearances while at Hull. He played just 488 minutes of Championship action during his loan spell.
He completed 90 minutes just once during his time at the MKM Stadium, scoring his only goal in a 1-1 draw against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road in February. His last appearance for the club was as a substitute in the 5-0 drubbing at Bristol City in April.
City's Championship rivals Middlesbrough are now reportedly plotting a move for the Brentford forward. Chris Wilder is keen to add a striker to his squad after missing out on targets, and Boro have now set their sights on Forss.
Despite struggling to make an impact with the Tigers, Forss has impressed at other clubs. While on loan at AFC Wimbledon in the 2019/20 campaign, the 23-year-old bagged 11 goals in 18 League One games.
The striker is a fringe player at Premier League side Brentford, but he has scored a decent 19 goals in 74 appearances for the Bees - the majority of which have been substitute appearances.
