New homes could be built on Burnage Cricket Club
There are plans to build new homes on a former cricket club in Burnage.
Based on the corner of Kingsway and Mauldeth Road, property firm Views is planning to build 68 homes on the land.
This would include 58 family houses, the majority of which would be four-bedrooms, and turning the existing building on the land into apartments.

A proposed scheme by Manchester based Ollier Smurthwaite Architects has been inspired by the original Burnage Garden Village, with each home having a private back garden and front driveway.
While cricket hasn't been played at the club for years, it operated as a social venue until its license was revoked in 2022, after a police raid found weapons and drugs at the site.
Plans to redevelop Burnage Cricket Club could transform the area, and provide 'a significant number' of new trees as well as flowers and shrubs to attract wildlife.
As part of the scheme, the developer Views is exploring how it could provide a replacement cricket playing field in the Burnage area.
Previous attempts to develop the land have failed due to a lack of provision to replace the cricket pitch.
The developer has launched a public consultation to gather feedback on its plans, which will take place at the club on June 1 from 11am to 4pm.
A feedback form is also available online from May 31 to June 22.
