New Faversham Town manager Steve Watt names midfielder Tommie Fagg as club captain as Scotsman discusses how him and Frannie Collin will put their own stamp on things

New Faversham Town manager Steve Watt has wasted little time in naming his captain.

Watt, confirmed as Tommy Warrilow’s successor at Salters Lane over the weekend having been brought in by caretaker boss Frannie Collin for the season run-in, will give the armband to midfielder Tommie Fagg.

Fagg was named the club’s players’ player-of-the-year and manager’s player-of-the-year at the end-of-season presentations after his eight-goal campaign last time out.

"I think it sends a great message out.”

“In those last four games of the season, you could see him grow as a player and a person in and around the squad,” said Watt, who will be assisted by Collin.

“Obviously, I wasn’t with him
