Neutral Krakow to host Nations League meeting of Ukraine and Scotland next month
The Republic of Ireland will be face Scotland in Glasgow three days before the Scots take on Ukraine in Krakow next month.
The Ukrainian football association has confirmed that the Marshal Jozef Pilsudski Stadium in Poland will host the Nations League game against Scotland on 27 September owing to the ongoing Russian invasion of the country, which means fixtures cannot currently be played there.
Ireland also played their 'away' fixture against Ukraine at the neutral KS Stadium in Lodz, a 1-1 draw in June.
Scotland will host the Ukrainians in Glasgow on 21 September, before Stephen Kenny's Boys in Green visit Hampden on the 24th.
The Republic need six points from their two remaining games in Group 1 to maintain their slim hopes of top spot, and the promotion that goes with it.
The same night that Ukraine and Scotland clash in Krakow, the Aviva Stadium will host the meeting of Ireland and Armenia as Kenny's side look to gain revenge for a shock defeat on matchday one.
Another defeat to the eastern Europeans would put Ireland at risk of relegation to League C of the Nations League.
