Netflix series King of Stonks cast, release date and whether it is based on a true story?

If you like your comedy-drama filled with scenes of people making exorbitant amounts of cash through largely illegitimate means, then Netflix’s new German production King of Stonks will be right up your street. It could be described as the German Wolf of Wall Street, so expect lots of wild parties when the good times roll.

However, an inevitable crash is always lurking around the corner. It promises to provide lots of dramatic tension.

You’ll need to have the subtitles on for this one (unless you're fluent in German) but after the success of Squid Game, it seems Netflix is getting more confident that its English language viewers are more open to hearing different types of stories. King of Stonks will be released on Wednesday, July 4 in the UK. It joins the likes of Stranger Things season 4 volume 2, Resident Evil and Virgin River season 4 in being added to the streaming platform this month. Movies such as Up in the Air, Natural Born Killers and the new Netflix original Persuasion should also be arriving on your screens this month.
