Nemanja Jovic to Celtic may already have answer as agent drops major clue after Brendan Rodgers transfer confession

Winger Nemanja Jovic is reportedly on Celtic's radar as he weighs up he weights up his next move - and the Scottish champions may already have their answer after the player's agent broke his silence.

The summer window is well behind clubs at this stage of the campaign but Celtic would be able to make a move for the 21-year-old after he saw his Partizan Belgrade terminated following a dispute over unpaid wages with the Serbian side. Liel Abada is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines and the Hoops could be on the lookout for more depth in the wide areas - with reports suggesting that they are among a clutch of clubs chasing the Serbia cap.

Reports in his homeland state that La Liga outfit Rayo Vallecano are also among the frontrunners while Valencia are also said to be considering an approach, while English Premier League strugglers Sheffield United are noted as an interested partly alongside Celtic. Following defeat in the Champions League group stage opener to Feyenoord, Brendan Rodgers admitted he was the same as every manager and wished he could have added more signings.

But the boss may be left disappointed after representative Marko Lomic hinted that he was aiming to make a move to one of Europe's big five leagues - the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 or Serie A as well as the top flights in Spain and England. Jovic is said to have already knocked back interest from Turkey and the Saudi Pro League.

Speaking to Serbian outlet Infobirac Lomic said: "He has rejected proposals to move to Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Because he wants an ambitious club from a top five league."
