National Lottery results live: Lotto and Thunderball winning numbers for Saturday, December 17

It's not long to go until tonight's winning Lotto and Thunderball draws. Today's lucky player could land themselves with a huge £11.5m prize just a week before Christmas.

Tonight’s winning National Lottery Lotto numbers are announced at 7.45pm. The National Lottery Thunderball numbers worth up to £500,000 are drawn shortly afterwards at 8.15pm.

Six main numbers will win you the full jackpot, while five numbers with the bonus ball could net you £1m. Matching five, four and three main numbers can still see you win some money but at decreasing amounts, with two numbers giving you a free Lucky Dip.

The UK National Lottery was first drawn on November 19, 1994. Half of all money spent by players goes to the prize fund, with 28 per cent to good causes, 12 per cent to the Government as duty, five per cent to retailers and five per cent to which has operated the lottery throughout its history.
