Nani explains why Cristiano Ronaldo is feeling frustrated at Manchester United

Former Manchester United winger Nani has suggested that Cristiano Ronaldo’s perceived negative attitude is “normal'' for him, especially given that he is in the twilight of his career.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was seen gesticulating in anguish during the club’s horrific 4-0 defeat to Brentford on Saturday. His future at Old Trafford is unclear, but he has vowed to explain all in the next few weeks.

Ronaldo netted 24 times in his homecoming campaign but is dissatisfied with United’s chances of silverware this season, and their failure to qualify for the Champions League last. Some supporters feel his return hampered the growth of the team, ultimately contributing to the toxic atmosphere within the club.
