Multi-vehicle crash on M4 causes long delays - live updates

A multi-vehicle accident is causing delays on the M4 near Newport. It happened on the westbound carriageway between junction 23A Magor and junction 24 Coldra.

Traffic Wales said that lane three was closed and traffic officers arrived on the scene quickly and the vehicles involved were moved quickly to the hard shoulder. Traffic cameras are showing heavy rain in the area.

All lanes had re-opened by 2.48pm but delays continued in the area.

There has also been a car fire on the A470 this afternoon at the Abercynon roundabout.
