Motorcyclist taken to hospital after serious crash blocks Cardiff road
Emergency services were at the scene of a serious collision on a busy Cardiff road. The A4232 was closed outbound between the Butetown tunnel and Ferry Road roundabouts for around 90 minutes.
Police say they were called just before 8.40am this morning to reports of a man having come off his motorbike. A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "Emergency services attended and the motorbike rider was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening."
Police had asked motorists to avoid the area and there were delays reported in the Cardiff Bay area. Traffic monitors showed that the road re-opened at 10am and congestion reduced quickly.
