Motorcyclist rushed to hospital after serious crash on major road
A motorcyclist was rushed to hospital following a serious crash in Rochdale. Emergency services were called to Manchester Road in Castleton to reports of a serious collision at around 4.20pm on Sunday (February 11).
A witness told the MEN a motorcyclist was left seriously injured after crashing into a car. It’s not believed anyone else was hurt in the smash, however this has not been confirmed by police.

The motorcyclist’s condition is currently unknown and the MEN has approached GMP for more information.
Police closed Manchester Road at around 4.20pm while an investigation was carried out. Residents were turned away from the scene and drivers were asked to find alternative routes.
Several vehicles and motorcycles could be seen within the cordon with debris strewn across the road. The road was eventually reopened at around 7.45pm after a clean-up was carried out.
Greater Manchester Police have been approached for comment.
