Motherwell, Rangers and other 'rebels' told SPFL concerns will be addressed in April

A 41-point independent governance review has been received by the SPFL, with member clubs told the report will be addressed in a meeting next month.

Financial planners Henderson Loggie delivered the plan today, which was considered by Hampden bosses, who have agreed on a course of action.

All 42 member clubs will receive the recommendations at a General Meeting on April 24.

The review prompted Rangers, Motherwell, Aberdeen, St Mirren, St Johnstone and Livingston to deliver a letter outlining 'serious concerns', voicing their unhappiness that an initial draft of the report was amended by the executive before being seen by the rest of the board.

The SPFL cited 'inaccuracies' in the letter and are confident they will be able to address concerns raised by the 'rebel' clubs, when they submit proposals to clubs in April.

In a statement, SPFL chairman Murdoch MacLennan said: “The SPFL board met this morning and considered carefully all the recommendations put forward by Henderson Loggie.

"We will now produce proposals, which will be circulated to all SPFL Clubs ahead of discussion on 24 April.”
