Morgan Gibbs-White is showing one Sheffield United youngster the route to a bright future

Paul Heckingbottom wants to see Iliman Ndiaye score more goals in a bid to take his game to the next level.

The young midfielder has been one of the stories of the campaign so far after breaking through into the Sheffield United first team.

His goal at Fulham will be a contender for goal of the season after his solo run and neat finish earned the visitors a stunning three points against the league leaders. He's one of the most exciting talents to emerge from the Randox Health Academy in recent years and looks set for a bright future.

However, after scoring twice on his debut in a 6-2 win over Peterborough in September, that goal at Craven Cottage is the only other time he has found the net in 25 appearances.

Heckingbottom was reluctant to criticise that aspect of his performance given his journey to the first XI and how hard he works in matches, but it is something he has spoken about with the 21-year-old.

He said: "He's learning at the thick end. If you look at Iliman's background, where he has come from and the experiences he has had, he's still a baby in terms of his development. Not being in academy systems it's a massive jump and Saturday at Millwall is a great example for me of where he's at.

"There are moments there where everyone can see he's a fantastic player, how he handles the ball, how he moves the ball, how brave he is to get on the ball and we have just had the conversation this morning that it's not about looking good it's about being good. We have got to get a winning team and that's always my thought.

"For me, the only thing missing from his performances lately is the goals. Where he has had those big chances had he taken those who knows, he may be the one who is down on the teamsheet first. It's
