Molly-Mae Hague says 'I wish' as she denies Tommy Fury break-up and documentary are 'publicity stunt'

Molly-Mae Hague has denied her break-up with Tommy Fury and subsequent documentary are a "publicity stunt" ahead of the release of her new documentary series.

The former Love Island stars confirmed they had parted ways last summer. They met and fell in love on the ITV2 dating show in 2019 before going on to welcome their first child together, Bambi, in January 2023 and getting engaged in Ibiza in the same year.

However, after they had just celebrated their anniversary and 12 months since they'd agreed to marry, they announced they were going their separate ways.

Molly-Mae has now been heard speaking at the launch of her new fly-on-the-wall Amazon Prime documentary series, Molly-Mae: Behind It All – which will launch on Friday (January 17), featuring intimate footage of her break-up with fellow former Love Island contestant turned boxer.

Responding to “publicity stunt” accusations, Molly-Mae said: "I think that for me, above everything, has been the most frustrating part, because I actually say in the documentary, ‘I wish it was a publicity stunt’, because it’d be a lot easier. Because going through all of this with the turmoil of a break-up has been incredibly hard, to have those comments, and I do see the comments, I see all of them.

"People say, ‘oh, this has obviously just been done for long term brand or a publicity stunt’, that is very painful, because it’s real life. Tommy and I have a baby together, and it’s very, very real, and it’s a really hard thing that we’ve both gone through the last six months."

She added: "I wish it wasn’t, because it would have been a lot easier, but it isn’t. I think this documentary will clear up any impressions of that, you see the real side to it, it’s kind of like you’re a fly on
