Raphinha, Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal were all on target in the second half for the home side to ease Hansi Flick's side through.

LaLiga leaders Atletico Madrid made similarly light work of Segunda Division side Elche, with Alexander Sorloth scoring twice in the first half en route to a 4-0 away win.

Rodrigo Riquelme and Julian Alvarez completed the rout after half-time to seal a comfortable victory.

Pontevedra of the fourth tier saw their cup run brought to an end at home to Getafe, who scored their winner in the second minute before finishing the game with nine players, while Leganes scored twice in the final 15 minutes to beat Almeria 3-2.

Harry Kane scored his 22nd goal of the season as Bayern Munich thrashed Hoffenheim 5-0 to move four points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.

Heidenheim netted in the fifth minute of stoppage time through Leo Scienza to snatch a dramatic 3-3 draw away to Werder Bremen, while Stuttgart pulled to within a point of the Champions League places by defeating fourth-placed RB Leipzig 2-1, Nick Woltemade hitting the winner as Leipzig had two players sent off late on.

Augsburg were 2-0 winners at Union Berlin and bottom-side Bochum won for just the second time this season 1-0 against St Pauli.

In Serie A, Inter Milan lost ground on leaders Napoli as they were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Bologna.
