Mohamed Salah and Alisson have just recreated one of Liverpool's most iconic goals

Alisson Becker turn from shot-stopper to goal-creator on Saturday afternoon, as the Brazilian supplied the assist for Liverpool's second in a 3-1 victory against Norwich City.

The Canaries stunned Anfield by taking the lead four minutes into the second half thanks to a Milot Rashica effort that took a wicked deflection of Joel Matip.

Sadio Mane pulled The Reds level with an acrobatic equaliser before Liverpool's Brazilian goalkeeper turned play-maker.

Having struggling to breach the visitors' well-drilled read guard Alisson opted for a more direct approach, punting the ball far downfield to Mohamed Salah, who danced away from City stopper Angus Gunn before slotting home with his right foot, to give the hosts a 2-1 lead.

Jurgen Klopp's side went on to win the match 3-1, but it is not the first time that Alisson has been credited with an assist for Salah. In fact a very similar goal was conjured up between the pair against none other than Manchester United during Liverpool's title-winning 2019/20 campaign.

With Liverpool leading 1-0 against their old foe and just a few minutes remaining, Klopp's No. 1 launched the ball up to the lethal Egyptian striker on the half way line who ran on to clinch the match and score one of the most iconic goals of the Reds' first league title winning season in 20 years.

And the familiarities were not lost on Liverpool supporters across social media today.
