Premier League top scorers 2021/22: Raheem Sterling enters the race with Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota
Raheem Sterling’s hat-trick against Norwich rocketed him up to third in the Premier League top-scorer chart for the 2021/22 season.
Mohamed Salah has enjoyed a runaway campaign in the race for the Golden Boot with 16 goals, followed by Liverpool teammate Diogo Jota on 12.
It has been a season in which several teams have shared the goals around, while the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Harry Kane and Arsenal’s recently-departed star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang struggling to hit their usual heights.
But Sterling became the third player to hit double figures last weekend, with Manchester City facing Tottenham in gameweek 26.
Cristiano Ronaldo got back in the goals for Manchester United recently and a trip to Leeds is on his horizon. The veteran shares fourth place with Jamie Vardy of Leicester, who has suffered injury issues in recent weeks, and Tottenham forward Son Heung-min.
