Jurgen Klopp has challenged Luis Diaz to follow in Mohamed Salah’s footsteps after the Egyptian scored his 150th goal for Liverpool.
Trailing to a Milot Rashica strike shortly after the restart against Norwich City, Sadio Mane equalised for the Reds with an overhead kick before Salah rolled Liverpool ahead after running onto an Alisson long-ball, evoking memories of his famous last-minute strike against Manchester United in the club’s 2019/20 title-winning season.
Diaz then opened his account for the club with a clever lobbed finish as Liverpool ran out 3-1 winners to close the gap on Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.
And Klopp was full of praise for his forwards after the final whistle when reflecting on Salah and Mane’s incredible records for the Reds.
