Rio Ferdinand has explained why he disagrees with Michael Owen over Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.

Salah etched himself further into Anfield folklore at the weekend with his goal in the Reds’ 3-1 win over Norwich City.

The strike from the Egyptian was his 150th in a Liverpool shirt in what was his 233rd appearance for the club.

Ferdinand was debating whether or not Salah is a better player than what Luis Suarez was for Liverpool, and he brought up a chat he had with Owen about the duo.

Suarez’s most prolific goalscoring season for Liverpool was in 2013/14 where he scored 31 goals in 33 Premier League appearances as well as chipping in with 17 assists.
