Mino Raiola hits out at false death reports: ‘Second time in 4 months they kill me’

Mino Raiola says he is ‘p***** off’ after inaccurate reports of his death went viral on Thursday.

The 54-year-old football agent, who represents some of the world’s top players including Paul Pogba, Erling Haaland and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has been ill for several months.

But on Thursday, multiple reports surfaced across the world claiming that Raiola had died.

However, he has now confirmed he is alive and has pointed out that it is now the second time inaccurate stories about his health have surfaced.

A post from Raiola’s official Twitter account read: ‘Current health status for the ones wondering: pissed off second time in 4 months they kill me. Seem also able to resuscitate.’

Jose Fortes Rodriguez, who works closely alongside Raiola, told Dutch website NOS: ‘He’s in a bad position, but he hasn’t died.’

Alberto Zangrillo, the ICU head at Milan’s San Raffaele Hospital, told Italian news agency Ansa: ‘I’m indignant at the phone calls by pseudo journalists speculating on the life of a man who is fighting.’

In January, Raiola had been in hospital and underwent surgery on an unspecified issue.

A statement from Raiola said at the time: ‘Mino Raiola is undergoing ordinary medical checks that require anaesthesia.

‘All was planned and no emergency surgery happened.’
