Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has claimed Ben White has improved dramatically since August's loss to Brentford.

Thomas Frank's side inflicted a shock 2-0 defeat on the Gunners in the Premier League curtain-raiser, with summer signing White receiving considerable criticism for his performance on the night.

The England international has been signed a few weeks earlier for a whopping £50million and some supporters were already questioning the transfer after the defeat in west London.

However, the talented defender has since established himself as one of the first names on the teamsheet, registering 11 clean sheets in his 20 Premier League outings with the north London outfit.

His partnership with fellow centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes has helped create a solid foundation in the heart of Arsenal's defence and Arteta has now lauded the 24-year-old for the adjustments he made following the aforementioned defeat against the Bees.
