Mikel Arteta given £38m transfer incentive to save Arsenal £62m on key signing

Arsenal have been given an excellent opportunity to sign Germany’s next superstar in the summer transfer window. And they can sign the player for a bargain price.

According to Spanish news outlet El Nacional, Borussia Dortmund have been turned off by Salzburg’s £38million demands for Karim Adeyemi. This has meant that both Arsenal and Real Madrid have entered the race for the forward.

The Gunners will need to sign at least one striker in the summer transfer window, with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah set to depart. Adeyemi would be the perfect striker signing for Mikel Arteta’s system, and Edu’s recruitment plan meaning Arsenal should be doing everything in their power to pursue a deal for the forward.

At just 20-years-old the youngster has already played 86 times for RB Salzburg and has scored 29 goals while providing 19 assists alongside his scoring exploits. His performances at the club level have been so impressive that he has already featured for the German national team on three occasions and scored one goal.

The striker has already shown he has what it takes to be at the level to compete with the elite. Adeyemi has made a name for himself in the Champions League this season after contributing to five goals in eight games, as his side surprisingly progressed to the knockout stages of the competition for the first-ever time.

Arsenal will be in desperate need of two new strikers in the summer transfer window, with both Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah's days looking increasingly numbered. Both players’ contracts are set to expire at the end of the season and they have been linked with a move away from the club.
