Middlesbrough v Cardiff City Live: Updates as Callum Robinson makes first Bluebirds start
Cardiff City head to Teesside this evening to take on Middlesbrough.
Both teams have had a stuttering start to the season, with the hosts, managed by Chris Wilder, sitting in 17th place in the Championship. They are five places but only one point better off than tonight's visitors, who will be hoping to kickstart their campaign at the ninth time of asking.
Bluebirds boss Steve Morison will want to see a reaction from his players after they went down 2-0 to his former side Millwall last time out. Boro, on the other hand, will be buoyed by their 1-0 win over Sunderland at the Riverside, which promises to be a reflective place before kick-off, with both teams set to pay tribute to the late Queen.
Cardiff have released a statement concerning that, which you can read here.
"We are eight games in and a work-in-progress," Morison said before the match. "You win on Tuesday night and you are back into mid-table. Anyone can beat anyone and we need to keep working on what we’ve been working on and I think the tables will turn again for the better."
