Mick Schumacher on the 'very annoying' crash that took him out of the Monaco GP

Mick Schumacher was involved in another heavy crash at Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix, but emerged unscathed.

On Lap 26 of the protracted race, the German was barrelling down the straight before the Swimming Pool chicane when he lost control of his Haas, spun around and made heavy contact with the Tecpro barrier, sending the VF-22 chassis one way and the gearbox the other.

Schumacher was immediately on the radio to tell the team that he was ok and remarkably got out of the car himself, walking away annoyed but unscathed.

The latest in a series

"It felt super weird," said the 22-year-old. as per Motorsport.com.

"From what I saw on the video, it just seemed like we were like 10cm further out. And that kind of triggered maybe a wet patch or whatever with the front wheel, which then translated into a rear-wheel slide. That's where basically the rear came around. I tried to correct it, and that's why it went to the left. It's very, very unfortunate and very annoying."

The crash marks the latest in a series of incidents involving the young pretender. Esteban Ocon touched the rear of Schumacher's car in the opening race in Bahrain, sending him into a spin. In Saudi Arabia, the Haas driver lost control in a high-speed corner during qualifying and suffered a 33G crash. Shaken, he subsequently withdrew from the race altogether. Most recently, in Miami, Schumacher collided with the side of Sebastian Vettel's Aston Martin, putting them both out of the race.

The crash ended a disappointing weekend at F1's most famous race for Haas, as Kevin Magnussen was forced to retire just a few laps earlier due to a power unit issue.
