Michael Beale savours Rangers transfer meeting with Jose Cifuentes as boss shares done deal relief in 'finally' quip

Michael Beale couldn't help but cry 'finally' as new Jose Cifuentes heading in to the Ibrox entrance door.

It had been a long and winding transfer road for the Ecuadorian who made his move from LAFC a reality on Thursday, signing a five-year to join Beale's ranks as his ninth summer recruit. Cifuentes initially penned a pre-contract but the London boss pushed to get the 24-year-old in place before the Premiership curtain raiser against Kilmarnock on Saturday. The midfielder bolsters options for Beale who admitted he pursued the South American for some time in the window.

The youngster leaves behind the sandy beaches of Los Angeles for the hills of Milngavie, something Beale reckons will be a reality check for the enforcer-style midfielder. And Rangers gave fans a peek inside Cifuentes' arrival at Auchenhowie, as he can be seen in the clip chatting with fellow new signing, albeit as a part of a return, in Leon Balogun. The Ecuadorian then heads towards who embraces him and greets his family.

The London boss can be heard exclaiming: "Finally, my friend. Good to have you here," before shaking hands with the midfielder's family and representatives and urging them to have a tour of the training facility. Cifuentes then meets new pals Todd Cantwell, Scott Wright and Sam Lammers among others before being unveiled officially with a photoshoot and taking to the turf at Auchenhowie.

Beale said on the new boy earlier: "Jose (Cifuentes) trained right away and is available for the squad. It is important I involve him in the squad to get a feel for the league. It is certainly different playing in Ayrshire than LA."
