Michael Beale facing 'toxic' Rangers abuse will spark 'serious' inquest as boss handed 2 point checklist to save job

Frustrated Kenny Miller reckons Michael Beale must lift the Viaplay Cup and reach the Europa League knockout stages to save his Rangers career.

He reckons the boss is now working on a game-to-game basis - as he insists any slip in the cup clash with Livingston on Wednesday or Aberdeen on Saturday will spark a major Ibrox inquest behind the scenes. He challenged the boss to lift the Viaplay Cup and go on an extended European run to get his tenure at Rangers back on track. Asked about the fan reception on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Miller said: "It was justified based on everything that Michael said post-match.

"He agrees that it was a really, really poor performance and he was asked about the last 10 minutes and he corrected then and said it was from the first minute. He was not happy with the performance from the team at all.

"He expects better, and he is not hiding behind any stats of three wins and three clean sheets - he owns that it was a really poor performance. It was toxic towards the end.

"I have been in there as a player when you are only winning 1-0 against the lesser level of opposition - even though Motherwell were outstanding - I have been there before and you can feel it. I could feel it in the stands when I was there.
