Metrolink disruption after after car crashes into tram
Passengers are facing major disruption to Metrolink services in Manchester this morning following a city centre crash. A car has hit a tram, transport bosses said.
The incident means services have been cancelled at some city centre Metrolink stops. A spokesperson for Manchester Metrolink tweeted: "Due to a road traffic collision in the city centre.

"No services are operating between Market Street and St. Peter's Square. This affects multiple lines."
Emergency services and Transport for Greater Manchester have been approached for comment.

TfGM says there are currently delays on the Altrincham, Ashton-under-Lyne, Manchester Airport and MediaCityUK lines following the crash.
Services running through the city centre are also facing delays.
